How tight can Trex Decking be curved?
We are limited to how tight of a radius we can bend the Trex Decking.
- Curved Trex Transcend Deck Board – minimum 9ft Radius
- Curved Trex Select Deck Board – minimum 9ft Radius
- Curved Trex Enhance Naturals Deck Board – minimum 9ft 6in Radius
- Curved Trex Enhance Basics Deck Board – minimum 9ft 6in Radius
- Curved Trex Lineage Deck Board – minimum 9ft Radius
- Trex Signature Deck Board – We can NOT bend
How do I measure the radius for a curved rail or deck board?
There are two measurements that we need to calculate what the radius is of a curved rail or curved deck board. The two measurements are what we call the RISE and the RUN. Visit our RESOURCES page to get more detailed instructions on how to find those measurements.
My curve is not a true radius, how do I measure that curve?
If your curved rail or deck board is NOT a true radius, we will need a template made of that exact curve and sent to us. Visit our RESOURCES page to get more detailed instructions on how to make a template. If you aren’t sure if you have a true radius or you just aren’t confident that your RISE and RUN measurements are correct, you can make us a template.
Do I need to provide the Trex material to Bugh, Inc. to bend?
No, we will supply the Trex material from our local Trex distributor. So the price you get from us includes the material, the bending charge and freight cost to ship back to you.
What if I’ve already purchased the Trex material, can I ship it to Bugh, Inc. to bend?
Yes, you can ship us your Trex material, but you will have the added cost of shipping it to us and take the chance that it could get damaged in transit to us.
Can I purchase all the Trex material needed to complete my deck from Bugh, Inc., not just the curved pieces?
We are a Trex dealer here in the North Canton, OH area. So yes, technically we can sell you all Trex material, not just the curved pieces… but unless you are local and can pick it up, we don’t recommend it. As much as we’d love all your business, financially it doesn’t help you to pay us to ship straight Trex material that you can easily purchase from your own local Trex dealer. How can I bend the Trex material myself?
We oftentimes will have customers ask us how they can bend the Trex material themselves or maybe they’ve tried unsuccessfully and are looking to us for tips to get better at it. As much as we like to help our customers, we’ve spent years doing research and development to design our own rail and deck board bending process. We’re happy to bend the pieces for you and have them shipped to you! We ship all across the USA and Canada.
How does my order get shipped?
Once the Trex railing and/or decking is curved, we will build a wood crate to ship it in to keep it well protected while in transit. The majority of our orders are shipped via FedEx Freight. To keep the freight cost down we highly recommend that you have this crate of materials shipped to a commercial location that has a forklift or loading dock. (i.e. lumber yard).
I don’t have access to a commercial location with a forklift or loading dock. Can my curved material be shipped directly to my residential address?
Yes, FedEx Freight can ship the crate of material to a residential address. There is an additional fee for that residential delivery and someone must be at the residence to accept the delivery. You will also be responsible for removing the crate of materials off the FedEx Freight truck yourself. The FedEx driver will not do that unless your crate is small enough to be eligible for a lift gate. A lift gate can only be used on a crate that is 8ft wide or less. A lift gate must be requested and prepaid to Bugh, Inc. in advance PRIOR to the order shipping.
Does Bugh, Inc. ship into Canada?
Yes, we can ship into Canada via FedEx Freight. Keep in mind that the freight charge from us to you will NOT include any and all fees incurred to clear customs. You will need to provide us with your own Customs Broker information prior to shipping. You will be responsible to pay all fees incurred to clear customs directly to your Customs Broker.
I’m not local to the North Canton, Ohio area, but can I still come there and pick up my order rather than pay to have it shipped to me?
Yes, you are welcome to come pick up your order here at our facility. We’re open M-F 8:00am-4:30pm.
